A family flies high

Fleeting across the sky
A family flies high

Hiding from strife
That is part of life

Weathering the wild
The tough and the mild

Short days of light
Swallowed by night

Scavenging for food
In some nearby wood

Together they share
Their lives so bare

You may see them overhead
As the sun turns to red
