I met a lady
With eyes of blue
Big and round
And shiny too

She said hello
My name is Sue
What’s yours
And what do you do

I said my name
And what I did
Smiling at her
Like I was a kid

Then she spoke
Of her past life
How things had been
For her as a wife

A troubled time
With ups and downs
Living for short times
In many towns

But that was over
It was different now
She looked over
A different bow

A little boat
She now sailed
To new adventures
Her stories regaled

After a while
Her tale was said
She was tired
And went off to bed

A mythical lady
Made up for this poem
To keep you amused
On your way home
