A Lady’s Story

A lady I met
Out in the wet

Told me her story
Of life and it’s glory

Of Leith’s cinema fame
State, was its name

Of her soldier man
Back from Suez, with a plan

Trousers were her desire
But forced to ware skirt attire

Her life seemed good
As we stood

But as we parted on our way
She just had to say

He’s long gone now
He’d taken a vow

A Mason so proud
But she said out loud

Today,he would not get away
With what he did that day
